The pinnacle of international football, the FIFA World Cup is an event like no other. In 2026 The FIFA World Cup heads to North & Central America, with USA, Canada and Mexico hosting the tournament. 2026 will also see the first instalment to feature 48 nations, up from 32 in previous years.
Tournament Dates: 11 June - 19 July 2026
Opening round and finals venues have now been confirmed. Host cities have been grouped to optimise travel for fans and teams:
West Region: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle & Vancouver
Central Region: Guadalajara, Mexico City, Monterrey, Houston, Dallas & Kansas City
Eastern Region: Atlanta, Miami, Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia & New York/New Jersey.
Opening Match: Mexico v TBA, Mexico City, 11 June 2026
Final: MetLife Stadium, New Jersey, 19 June 2026

Australia's path to a sixth-straight FIFA World Cup is now underway in the AFC. Having secured top spot in Group I in the Second Round, Australia have qualified for the Third Round in Group C, including Japan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, China & Indonesia. The two six teams in the Third Round Group C will qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and third place will move to the Fourth Round.
